Viewers would certainly have developed a far stronger rapport with the new Jean Grey, meaning her fall from grace would have had a great deal more emotional power. Meanwhile, it’s interesting to note that Vaughn potentially sets up a far more comic-book-accurate version of the story, with both a younger Wolverine and presumably another version of Cyclops in the team. Given the increasing scale of Vaughn’s overarching narrative, X-Men: Dark Phoenix would probably have gone into the full cosmic scale of the legendary “Dark Phoenix Sag

We cannot recommend diving into Practice Range enough, especially if you are playing characters that have to hit precise long-ranged shots, as they can often be tricky to get down and learn, especially in the heat of battle. This is also an excellent way to experiment with Abilities and find clever ways to use them to your advant

NetEase Games are onto something special with Marvel Rivals ** . The super-powered brand recognition is enough to get fans’ attention, but making it beautiful, easy to play, and filled with revolutionary hero shooter gameplay mechanics puts the game high on the list of most anticipated multiplayer games. The current closed beta is ongoing until August 5, but the game is so fun as it is that many players are already hoping to see more betas announced or an official release date soon because, frankly, Marvel Rivals ** makes other available hero shooters look generic in compari

Whether you’re new to Hero Shooters or are a seasoned veteran of the genre, Marvel Rivals offers many differences from its competition that help make it feel fresh and rewarding while still offering what you might expect from one of these types of ga

Each of the 23 playable characters in the Marvel Rivals beta is represented with a mix of modern stylishness and iconic costumes that make the characters who’ve been redesigned countless times seem fresh, a difficult task for some of the world’s most popular characters. Each character’s abilities and ultimate attacks are cleverly designed with contrasting colors, making it much easier to tell what is happening, even during the most chaotic battles, which can quickly alter each stage’s environm

I completely expected Thor to appear at some point as a playable hero regardless of the leaks, simply because Loki is already in the game, and the God of Thunder has been used in so much current Marvel Rivals news media due to his increase in popularity with mainstream audiences over the years – most likely due to his portrayal by Chris Hemsworth in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – that his omission would feel jarring. The character I was more excited to see, however, was Dr. Doom . Doom was announced in the press release that accompanied Marvel Rivals ‘ first trailer, and it was clear he would play a major part in the story, but this is the first we have seen of the character and his future variant.

Both iterations of the Fantastic Four movies – no, I am not including the 1994 Roger Corman one as it wasn’t officially released – have botched Dr. Doom in many ways over the years. Not only did both the 2005 film and its 2015 reboot tie Doom’s origins closely to the titular heroic team’s – he blamed his disfigurement on The Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards (aka. Mr Fantastic) in many iterations, but he wasn’t involved in the mission in which the heroes got their powers – but they also removed many key elements that made Doom such a threat in the comics.

While I am fully aware that more general players will be diving into the online battles to see iconic Marvel characters fighting and won’t be as focused on Marvel Rivals ‘ storyline, I am glad that the game does have a story and that Marvel and NetEase Games have opted to put Dr. Doom so prominently within it. Dr. Doom is an extremely popular villain in the comics – and potentially an ally should the heroes’ goals align with his own or benefit him in some way – but he has not been fairly portrayed in some of the more mainstream media.
